In March 2018, Genny and Curt Kirkland-Willett bought the Hendersonville Health Mart from owner and pharmacist of 33 years, Dr. Ralph Williams. The couple met in pharmacy school at Samford University in Birmingham,AL where Curt said he still remembers what his wife was wearing the first time he saw her. They were a school year apart and after graduation moved to Texas so Curt could study compounding.

Compounding is the customization of a medicine to fit patient needs. Someone who has an allergy to a medication’s dye or has difficulty taking a capsule can work with pharmacists like Curt and Genny to find the best solution.

When the couple is not working at the counter, they are active with their children. Genny enjoys running around the neighborhood with Colin and Curt enjoys taking him fishing, where out on the lake Colin can be heard playing with the boat’s throttle. They also spend their spare time looking for a new house.
